I’m on the fairground of the Eastern States Fair and Exposition; The “Big E,” and that’s where “Great Soul Performances” will be coming from today, West Springfield, Massachusetts. On tap you’l hear: Teddy Pendergrass, Patti Labelle, the Jacksons, 8th Day, James Brown, Inez & Charlie Foxx, the Four Tops, the Three Degrees, the Intruders, Lou Rawls and the “Queen of Disco” Donna Summer; “live in concert” plus a host of others.  We had a great opening day yesterday at the fair and we’re expecting a great run.
