Thursday 8/20/2020 10pm ET: Feature LP 2020: Mary Chapin Carpenter – The Dirt and the Stars

The Dirt and the Stars is the sixteenth studio album by American singer-songwriter Mary Chapin Carpenter. It was released on August 7, 2020 by Lambent Light Records.

In a press release, Carpenter described the songs on the album as “very personal” and “difficult in some ways, and definitely come from places of pain and self-illumination, but also places of joy, discovery and the rewards of self- knowledge.” She wrote the album at her Virginia farmhouse and recorded it at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios in Bath, England.

Brightest Blue is the fourth studio album by English singer and songwriter Ellie Goulding. It was released on July 17, 2020 through Polydor Records. Originally scheduled for June 5, 2020, the album’s release was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The album is preceded by three singles: “Worry About Me”, “Power” and “Slow Grenade”, and features guest vocals from Blackbear, Diplo, Juice Wrld, Lauv, serpentwithfeet and Swae Lee. It is Goulding’s first album since Delirium (2015).
