Sunday 9am: Vinyl Resting Place Special with Willie B

florence-hendersonThis week the Vinyl Resting Place moves to its new time at 9AM (NY time) – and – since no one (including myself) is up at that time on a Sunday – I can do, pretty much what I want – and no one will ever know 🙂

This week we mark yet another loss in the entertainment world (2016 has been rough!). On Thanksgiving we learned of the passing of Florence Henderson. In her 65 years in show business she did it all – theater, Movies, TV, recordings, supper clubs – and (now) radio!
we present 3 hours with Ms Henderson – with cuts from her cast albums (Fanny, Oklahoma, South Pacific, The Girl who came to Supper, Sound of Music), her TV appearances, and an interview or 2.

We round it out in our 3rd hour together with the Christmas album she never made – just in time for the holidays.
So tune in – and discover the Flo you didn’t know on at 9, this Sunday! — with Florence Henderson.

Florence Agnes Henderson (February 14, 1934 – November 24, 2016) was an American actress and singer with a career spanning six decades. She is best remembered for her starring role as matriarch Carol Brady on the ABC sitcom The Brady Bunch from 1969 to 1974. Henderson also appeared in film as well as on stage and hosted several long-running cooking and variety shows over the years. She appeared as a guest on many scripted and nonscripted (talk and reality show) television programs and as a panelist on numerous game shows. She was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars in 2010. Henderson hosted her own talk show, The Florence Henderson Show, and cooking show, Who’s Cooking with Florence Henderson, on Retirement Living TV (RLTV) during the years leading up to her death at age 82 on Thanksgiving Day, 2016 from heart failure.  – Wikipedia
