gsp2On “Great Soul Performances 2: The 80s” this evening, we’ll be doing something different. “1980s Remakes.” I think you’ll be surprised to discover how many great songs were re-made (or covered if you’d prefer) in the 1980s. I’m talking about songs from the 1950s, the 1960s and the 1970s were re-tooled and got musical makeovers during the decade of the 1980s, and I’ve got them for you tonight. Artists bringing ’em back include: Chaka Khan, Manhattan Transfer, New Edition with Little Anthony Gourdine, Johnny Mathis, Rick James, the Pointer Sisters, Howard Hewett, Deniece Williams, KC & the Sunshine Band, the Blues Brothers, Joyce Sims with Jimmy Castor and others. I think you’re gonna love this. The fun starts at 7PM ET, 6PM CT, 5PM MT and 4PM PT. The 1980s was a very diverse musical decade indeed, and you’ll hear why when you join me for “1980s Remakes” on “Great Soul Performances 2: The 80s” at the “Home of the Greatest Hits of the 60s, 70s and 80s,” RadioMaxMusic.Com.
